Ah it's a shame that you miss that style, but I am sure that even as your style is changing over time, you will eventually go back or develop a style that you will be happy with and stick to it!
I know how that feels with my own drawing style, it changes a little bit every so often, and it can sometimes be hard to tell which particular version of my style I like the most, ah well, I am sure we'll both figure out our styles one of these days!!
